Kicking off the SF Indie Fest: interview with founder and director Jeff Ross

The 12th annual San Francisco Indie Fest is a celebration of independent film and music--Bay Area style. In stark contrast to the star-studded schmoozing frenzy that just wrapped up at Sundance, Indie Fest-goers bask in their lack of notoriety, breaking up 15 days of independent films with roller disco dancing and toasting White Russians.
But don’t let the theme parties and lack of celebrity appearances fool you; SF Indie Fest features award-winning films from around the world. In two weeks, the films will take you from the streets of Kingston Jamaica to a corner store in the Castro, and the festival starts tonight.
KALW’s Kevin Robinson spoke with the founder and director of SF Indie Fest, Jeff Ross, about this year’s stand out films.
