Budget cuts mean school's out for summer at City College

California’s community colleges have had to slash about 8% of their budgets this year because of cuts. Last week, City College of San Francisco announced it was canceling most of its summer school classes for the coming year due to lack of funds. That will save the school up to $4 million -- but it will cost many students the chance to move forward with their career plans. KALW’s Brian Pelletier went to City College and heard from students Isaac Swan, Julia Whittaker, Rebecca Tamouli and Josh Rowand about how they plan to deal with the latest changes.
