After 136 years, UC Berkeley Printing Services closes its doors
The UC Berkeley Printing Services has been in operation for 136 years, printing everything from the school’s internal publications to the original United Nations Charter in 1945.
But tomorrow the services will have its last day in operation. It is closing on Friday, leaving behind a legacy of over a century of printing, and leaving at least 40 employees out of work. UC Berkeley Journalism student Mario Furloni visited the services, and met the people who work there.
Mario Furloni is a student reporter at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
