Web Exclusive: SF Black Film Festival preview

"Infiltrating Hollywood: The Rise and Fall of the Spook Who Sat by the Door" is part of the lineup at the SF Black Film Festival
Transforming a community can happen in a lot of different ways: through changing the physical neighborhood, to having strong role models. It can also happen through dialogue between peoples of diverse cultures, races, and lifestyles.
That’s the belief of the organizers behind the San Francisco Black Film Festival. The festival is celebrating its 13th year this weekend with local and international films by artists of African or African Diaspora descent. Medium Rare's Kevin Robinson sat down with the festival’s co-director Kali O'Ray to get a preview of this year’s lineup.
The San Francisco Black Film Festival will celebrate its 13th anniversary starting Friday, June 17 through Sunday, June 19. For a schedule of films, click here.
