Even the best time-planners among us have done it: the last-minute all-nighter. Many relate the experience back to their days in college, chugging sodas or energy drinks and working while the rest of the world sleeps. It’s that thing parents shake their heads about in disapproval, and teachers often warn against. So why, exactly, is one Oakland high school requiring it? KALW’s Laura Klivans has the story.
