Oakland police and community leaders discuss solutions to violence

The overall goal of the Fault Lines Project is to facilitate constructive conversations around solutions to violence in Oakland.  On September 2, 2009, KALW News hosted a discussion between Oakland Deputy Police Chief David A. Kozicki, Oakland police officer and resident, Officer Fred Shavies, Executive Director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Jakada Imani, and Youth Ambassador for the Urban Peace Movement, B.J. Phillips.  They discuss their perspectives on the relationship between Oakland residents and police, and how to work together to eliminate violence.
