Ron Henggeler
When Ron Henggeler was a little boy, he loved to collect things. When he and his mother would walk down the street in his native Omaha, his head was always down, looking for treasures to take back to a little mini-museum in his room. Well, the little boy grew up, and decades later moved to San Francisco, where he continued his hobby. Henggeler is a self professed San Francisco-pheliac, and lives in a 5 story 19th century mansion that is like a dense rainforest of City treasures, from ceiling to floor. Over the decades he has collected, not thousands, but millions of items from around the City- all tied to some event in history. By night he waits tables, and by day he's an avid photographer of the City, he's taken more than 200 thousand pictures, and a self-taught San Francisco historian. Hana Baba went to see Henggeler's museum of a home.
