Arts This Weekend: A Kinetic Sculptor and a Winter Music Fest

We are all sound enthusiasts in the radio world, so I couldn't help but bring attention to this documentary that peaked my interest -- Trimpin: The Sound of Invention, is playing this weekend at the Red Vic. It centers on kinetic scupltor and sound artist Gerhard Trimpin. Here's a good description of the film.
The SF Indiefest starts next week (and we will have an interview on Crosscurrents next Thursday with the founder), but before the film festival, is the Winter Music Fest, which starts Friday. BayBridged calls it a tribute to the local music scene, showcasing some of the best Bay Area bands in eleven shows over the next week.
But if you just want to be outside this weekend, you can check out the outdoor exploratorium exhibits that have been up since last March. Just like most outdoor fun, the best part is it's free!
