Tenderloin Muralist from "Art in Storefronts" Stabbed

Remember our feature last week on the "Art in Storefronts" program launch in San Francisco's Central Market?

Well muralist Jason Hailey was only a half a block away from the launch event where Mayor Newsom announced his mission to increase the safety of this blighted area.  The redoubled efforts of SFPD didn't come soon enough for Hailey, who was putting the finishing touches on his mural this past weekend when he was stabbed and robbed.  An unfortunate example of how dangerous this area really is.
