Join the Street Team

Our Street Team is a group of regular people from all walks of life that want to both engage with their community in a new way and actively participate in the newsgathering process. It’s a way for YOU to be our eyes and ears in your community, and to improve as a storyteller. For a detailed info sheet, click here.
Some Highlights:

• The team has optional meetings once a month, where we offer informal training workshops on how to craft your story or how to improve your interviewing skills.
• We organize occasional reporting sessions out in the community at local events or locations.
• And we call on street team members to engage with their community around specific issues.
• Members can call in their stories by phone, or write them in via email to news@kalw.org.
